Liz Truss to succeed Boris Johnson as British head of state, acquiring a country in disaster
London (CNN) Liz Truss will be the next chancellor of the United Kingdom after winning just about all ballots in the Conservative Party leadership challenge, prospering Boris Johnson who resigned in July after a story arc of ethics violations.
This is not the time to be changing leader, Armed Forces Minister James Heappey has argued, as he defended the prime minister. Suggestions that there is a candidate to replace Liz Truss who would unite the party is "for the birds", he added.
